What a weekend. I think this was the most stressful convention I've had in a while. But how worth it it was.

Friday
PCS's bus to convention equals seven hours of awesomeness I almost immediately made some new acquaintances! We had fun talking about things (and discussing some series we all had watched). I had to do some last minute sewing because Tae had no shoes and I didn't have any time to do any shoe covering to a pair of slippers I stole- *cough* /borrowed/ from my folks. Well, they were that kind of slippers you get from spas for couple of euros so not so bad? :'D

Saturday
Oh my f-ing goodness I held a lecture! I was so happy when they took me in with my DMMd-lecture and had practiced it couple of times beforehand. Then my laptop run out of battery before we could even get started, and of course we had to wait for a while for a new computer. Fortunately it did run my PowerPoint file from a memory stick so I didn't have to perform without any support. I think it went quite well despite all that hardship, at least I got some praising afterwards~
I held the lecture dresser up as Tae, and later I switched to Eren. Yes, I made it in time. It was a pain in the ass to put it on, though. My straps didn't want to stay whete they were supposed to stay, so I had to actually sew them in my pants XD On top of that, I hadn't eaten properly since morning (and my breakfast wasn't that good either), so I was really grumpy in the dressing room. I almost feel bad for the people who were there and had to hear all my ranting and swearing and frustrated sounds I made sewing those little devils to their place...
But I got it on! Anae-chan was cosplaying as Levi (with 3D maneuver gear which was awesooooome) and YamiAeris as Mikasa, and we had some great time~
Later we had a little photoshoot with my Eren ans YamiAeris' Mikasa, I'm looking forward to getting the photos so I can post some It was the first proper photoshoot I've done in ages with such a little group and guidance, thanks for all that!

Sunday
Last con day and I didn't feel like putting any costume on. I did take my Noiz's hat with me though. We had had some pizza the former evening and I felt so appropriate eating the leftovers just outside the con building with my hat on, drinking water from a light green bottle with floral design XD
Because Saturday had been so hectic this was the first chance to check the stalls. I had thought that I'd buy the newest volumes of No.6 there. They were sold out. Just my luck.
Anae-chan and YamiAeris had child Lavi and Lavi's 2nd uniform (still fangirling a bit maybe? :'D) and I got to play a little with Lavi's huge hammer. Just because multi-fandomness rules XD
Just before the con was over I found a Noiz cosplayer with Aoba and went to say hi. It appeared to be that she was nukkelapsi and we were actually on the same bus and I had adored this Noiz' bunny cubes earlier :'D (Congrats on your 3rd place once again!) We then had a whole lot of (crack) fun with Spitaalinen and couple of others on our way back to Helsinki.

Thanks for all you wonderful people I met again! I got myself in couple of DMMd cosplay groups, too :'D I can't wait to finish my fem!Noiz and wear it~

Entrance exams are keeping me busy. Thank goodness they're over soon. The last week I've been just travelling around the city, singing and playing and discussing over-populated classrooms and done music theory tests. Well, as an experience it's been interesting, and I've already made some new aquaintances!

But yeah. I've been horribly inactive for the last couple of months! But as I've managed to do some *seeerious* studying the whole year, the summer will be dedicated to working with other things. Cosplay included~

Again, I've gotten myself into a some sort of mess, being the silly and over-enthusiastic little thing I am. Anae-chan once suggested, apparently half-jokingly, that I should do Eren (read: she wanted someone to kick around as Levi), and of course I took it seriously. Now I've already done the courtroom version with some flea marketing and for the summer I'm planning to make the Survey Corps version of him. Good luck with the jacket. Good luck with the skirt-or-whatever. And GOOD LUCK WITH THOSE GODDAMN STRAPS. (I might just order them online, maybe?) Luckily I've already got the boots, thanks to my lovely sirppikala who ordered them and agreed to lend them for me :3

As for Noiz, I decided to make a genderbent version of him. I'm already knitting the hat, it's starting to look quite good

Now to bed. I should be up at 6 in the morning for another music theory test. Not good to be up this late.

It's been a while so I thought maybe I should write something here too :'D

So, I'm currently spending the last six months in Kauniainen studying educational studies (or whatever they're called in English). I'll try to get in some university of applied sciences in spring and become a music pedagogue. But while studying and training for the entrance exams, I'll still try to have some time (and money) to do other things, encluding cosplay!

I'll make a cosplay meme I found from Jansutti's gallery that will sum up the year 2013 and introduce some plans I have for this year. But I guess I can tell a bit more of them here since the meme has limited amount of space :'D

First of all, my Louis from Brothers Conflict will be delayed a bit. Our group didn't have the time to make all the costumes on time and the con we were aiming for was sold out before most of us could get tickets for it. Therefore, Yukicon will probably be the first con I'll attend to as myself without any kind of costume. I'll just put on something that fits my mood or something.

I read (played/watched, whatever) DRAMAtical Murder about two months ago and have been pretty much obsessed about it ever since. (me and my weird tendencies.) And of course I found some people who are going to make cosplays from it. First I was going to make Clear, but when I met someone who was planning to make Usagimodoki gijinka somewhere I just couldn't resist and took up Noiz to my costumes-to-make list.
Additionally, there will be a DMMd cosplay group in Desucon Frostbite in which a friend of mine was already assigned as Noiz. I happened to whine a bit about how all my future plans were guys (I'm not that much of a crossplayer), and he just went and suggested that I'd make Tae the grandmother. Well, at the moment I'm knitting her socks and have ordered two wigs for modifying. I'm officially screwed XD

Yes, the poncho is ready. I've already started doing the dress, too, but with this much reading for university entrance exams I won't be able to do much for a while. Luckily I don't have that much left to do.

And other things:
I had seven university places altogether that I'm trying to get in: two elementary school teachers', two kindergarten teachers', anthropology's, musical education's and acting's.
Where are we now?
Acting is out because I didn't have the time to do any written tasks required to be able to pass.
One of the kindergarten teachers' educations is out because I put it in secondary place. My primary place is the easier one to get in.
Musical education is also out because I don't play the piano well enough.

Ah well, I still have chances to get in one of the elementary teachers', the other kindergarten teachers' or anthropology. Everything isn't lost. Yet.
